Hi, I'm Jan Verhoeff. I live in southeastern Colorado, just a little bit too far from the Rocky Mountains. I love writing, painting, and my family. I'm a full time mom of four children, three at home and one about to make me a grandma. I feel like the luckiest woman alive, because they are wonderful kids.

I am a published author. For more information about my work, you can visit my site at http://janverhoeff.com or my blog at http://janverhoeff.blogspot.com or just ask me.

I love to visit with other writers!

Jan

Hi, my name is Gloria Oren. I live in Redmond, WA with my husband and three adult children. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and spent my teens (from 15 yrs) in Tel Aviv Israel until 1985 when I returned to the states and we moved out to the Pacific Northwest. I love reading, writing, Scrabble, puzzles and word games. I like dabbling a bit in the garden but don't really have a green thumb.

I am not a published author yet, but hope to be one someday. In the meantime I am working on reaching that goal. I invite you to visit my website http://gloriaoren.tripod.com and my blog http://gloriaoren.blogspot.com

I love hanging out with other writers and belong to a local organization called RASP (Redmond Association of SPokenword) where I sometimes read my work at open reading evenings once a month.

Gloria

I’m a retired surveyor who has worked in the oil provinces of Canada, the Canadian Arctic and the Libyan desert. I’ve also surveyed on a heavy construction project, a dam, where I was a member of the tunneling survey crew and then the check surveyor for the main dam construction.

I live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada, with my wife and two Humane Society shelter dogs. I was born in London, England, just a couple of months before the Second World War started and became a Canadian Citizen in 1975. I do walk the dogs (well, actually they run), every morning, rain, shine, or blizzard – they get an hour to an hour and a half, and I get the needed exercise.

I now write fiction full time. I have two novels accepted by Double Dragon with the first slated for June 2007 – and now I have the fantasy novel accepted by Zumaya. I also have a 9000 word short in the new DDP anthology Twisted Tails II (vol 2). My DDP novels are soft SF, with a small group of moderns marooned on an alternate Earth circa 1700 – political and military adventures with swordfights, sailing ships, and cavalry action. My Zumaya title is a fantasy novel that has a young prince taking on dangerous magic to become the sorcerer king – and his sweetheart taking action against the circumstance that says they cannot marry. It also features an arrogant antagonist who pits his materialist technology against magic and the human spirit.

I'm glad you came by Kester.

I noticed your books. I'm captured, they've been added to my 'to buy list' for later this summer. They look awesome. I've never been too interested in Science Fiction, but my boys are raising my interest. both of them like to read it.

Thanks for joining, invite your friends.

Hi everyone,

I'm Dianne Sagan. I live in Texas, but spent 15 years living in Washington state, part of that in Spokane and most of it in the Seattle area - Bellevue, Edmonds, Issaquah. I'm a full-time freelance writer and have been doing ghostwriting for about six months. I have two in layout at the publisher and am working on a third.

My writing includes over 37 op-ed pieces for the Amarillo Globe News over the past several years. I signed the rights of a short story over to Chicken Soup for the Soul recently.

My WIP's include a couple of novels, some Christian fiction, Bible Studies for women, and a flash fiction book with five other writers. I don't have any books published under my own byline as yet, but am working hard to make that happen.

I'm working on getting my website ready to publish soon.

I'm married to a writer and freelance editor. We have six grown children from ages 21 to 36, three grandchildren, and a Bishon Frisee dog.

I Look forward to being a part of this forum and getting to know all of you better. Very Happy

Have a great day!
Dianne
